A door bottom seal is a long strip of aluminum that holds a seal made of a material such as neoprene, silicone, or a nylon brush. This long strip of metal is surface mounted to the bottom of the door. Ideally, the automatic door weather stripping should be installed so that it comes in contact with the bevel on the threshold but where the sweep will not touch the flooring material, i.e. carpet or tile, as the door swings open and closed.
VCan automatic door sweep soundproof can be ordered in a range of sizes and lengths, depending on the gap at the bottom of the door.
Specifications:
--Aluminum case surrounds sponge neoprene seal which is actuated by a plunger; the plunger contacts the door jamb as the door is closing, forcing the seal to drop against the threshold or floor surface.
--When door is opened, the spring-loaded seal automatically lifts up to clear carpet, tile or threshold.
--Provides an excellent seal from air, water, dust, light, sound, insects and rodents.
--Seals up to 3/4” gaps under the door.
--Surface mounted type.
--Insert: Sponge neoprene.
--Case holes are pre-drilled; mounting screws are included.
--Fire labeled: tested to UL10B; also meets ASTM E-152, NFPA-252 and UBC-432.
--Smoke labeled: tested to UL1784-1990; meets requirements of NFPA-105-1993.
